I see plenty of people jailbreaking their 3Gs and Ive even helped friends do it. Congrats to the people that have but I dont understand something.

Many of the programs you get off of Cydia require resprings/reboots. How are you able to keep a jailbreak and install those apps? With a tethered jailbreak arnt you extremely limited.

Almost pointless maybe? I constantly have to respring/reboot. I couldnt imagine a tethered jailbreak. How far can you exactly go with a tethered jailbreak and is it even practical, or just a fun thing to do till youre forced to reboot/respring?

    Thanks

Im not trying to troll or rant...just wanna know!

a respring does not bother the tethered jailbreak. just the reboot. what you could try is use sbsettings to respring whenever cydia asks you to reboot your device. not sure if it really works, but ive tried it and it has.

Rock has caused issues for some, including me, but works perfectly for others. I barely ever have to reboot, just respring, and a respring works fine.

theres a program called SBSettings and respiring jump or something like that so if any app you download require a reboot device you can just use those programs then you will not have to use blackrain every time you have to reboot your device

Hey BigBossMan, I hope these are face palm type questions, but what is it doing when it "resprings"?

And could you tell me what the "Processes" icon does?

    Thanks!
