Hello, first sorry for my bad English.
I have a problem. In the Itunes it indicates me that my iPod Touch of 16GB has more than 3GB of ''OTHER'' files. In music I only have 1GB, in videos 2GB and in apps 300mb. I have prove to delete all videos, music, etc, but the OTHER files continue being there.

    What are these files?
    How can I delete them?

    Thank you

don't worry - there has been tons of other users (including me) that this happens to. One minute it is taking up multiple GB's - and the next it is only a few hundred MB's.

No one really knows exactly what the files are. So sorry but there is no answer.

    3GB of album artwork? XD.
I believe album artwork is under "Pictures". Since that is what they are.
Other is files from jailbreaking. Applications, documents, videos through MxTube, etc.

Have you tried checking the hard drive of the ipod to see if anything got stored in there?

Usually that is the case. Just go to my computer or mac HD or whatever, and go to your ipod as it'll show as a removable hard drive. Check if some music, videos, pics, etc are stored in there. If thats the case it'll take up room in the ipod, but you wont be able to access it besides from the computer.

    Hope this solves your problem....

iPod's and iPhone do not support "Disk Mode" - so you can't do that.

Yeah the 3GB is the jailbroken data videos and songs from your MxTube or even dTunes what i did to find out how much I am really useing is by openssh into my iPod and getting the songs out of dTunes and videos out of MxTube and use iTunes to sync it into my iPod then go back and delete it off dTunes and Mxtube not useing openssh. After all that look at it and it should of gone down some.

    I resolve the problem.
I haven't got my ipod with jailbreak.

But I delete two apps that I've installed two days ago and the ''other'' files now are about 200mb and not 3gb.
