is there really that much of a difference in the two? what advantages does each have, some advice from someone who has had both would be nice. it costs roughly 100? more dollars for the 3gs, is it worth it?

the 3gs has so much more RAM, it's not even funny.

    other stuff:

1.3gs has built in video camera -- but if your jailbroken you can just get cycorder or something like that
2.i don't know what to put here

The processor and RAM upgrades alone make the 3GS worth the extra $100.

No contest, get the 3GS if you can. Way faster, more features, more space.

They dont actually list all the specs on apples site though just like a rough outline lol

but I have both devices (For now.. Selling the 3G) but after using the 3G for 6 months I just bought the 3GS and can DEFINITELY notice a speed difference, I am quite aware of the specs too and I am very excited to see the graphic power of this phone!
I have heard that the Jailbreak and all the extensions and daemons and plugins dont slow down the 3GS because of the RAM and Processor!
The camera is way better and takes very nice video for a 3.0 megapixel.. I had the Touch Pro and it is just as good as that and that was very very very nice.

I would say get the 3GS if you have the extra 100!
