3G no contract from AT&T!!!!!

    It should be. Why would they sell it locked. Thats not really a no commitment then.

    They also said you can not use it on there prepaid service. So what else could it mean?

    Hopefully Apple will release the unlock code for the old iphones.

    I dont understand why they would make the change to only being able to activate it at the store if they are just gonna sell it without a contract anyways.

    I think if you buy it for cheap on contract then they lock it to AT&T in store or you have 30 days to do it at home. Its just a way of keeping people from buying them at subsidy and using them on other networks. So they don't loss money.

    I been wondering what if I get the iphone 3g next friday then a couple of weeks later say it was lost and I need to buy a new one. Then I could sell one and it would be activated. Granted it would be expensive.

    So this'll work out to £304 if your sources are accurate - which quite frankly is a rip off.
