So getting an iPod Touch soon and just saw on the App Store "Talking Carl" which looks so cool.

But I know that you need the headphones plugged in to use it. But when "Carl" talks back. Will it play through the headphones or the in-built speaker?

If it does through the headphones. Can I make it play through the speaker so everyone can hear it? Cause I want to use it at school for a laugh but it won't be as fun with everyone taking turns using the headphones.

The 3rd gen 32gb and 64gb have a built in mic, no need for headphones, the 8gb 3g is actually a 2g, there is nothing different, only upgrades went to 32 and 64 gb models.

If the headphones are plugged in it will only play through the headphones.

Yes, very true. Otherwise I would be having a lot more fun with my iPod, than having the headphones connected, haha.

    I've actually got the app.

If you've got the headphones plugged in, it will play back through both the headphones and the onboard speaker

    Hope that helps

Do you know if this happens on other apps? Or like how I could disable it. Like a option using SBsettings so I can use the mic and play out through speaker sometimes. And play through headphones other times...

Unfortunately this is the only app I know of which allows this, and it's the developers choice whether they want to implement that or not.
