I want a 3G iPhone but I'm planning on buying one off Ebay then unlocking it (when the unlock comes out, hopefully soon).

It should work with Verizon now that it's 3G, right?

So lets say I have the phone unlocked and all, no I just need to get a Verizon SIM card. My current Verizon phone doesn't use a SIM card, so if I go into the verizon store, and ask for a SIM card, will they give it to me? Or should I just ask for one of those cheap free phones that I know has a SIM card?

Im on verizon too, and i don't beleive that ANY verizon phone uses a sim card because it is CDMA while att and t mobile are something else. Sooo.... if you do get it to work, let me know.

i'm almost positive Verizon doesnt use SIM cards at all. I could be wrong, but as far as i know they transfer contacts and such from phone to phone by direct connect software transfer, not by card.

EDIT: And thats why you have to call some dumb number to switch phones, not just change the card.

The problem isn't the sim card it's the network they run on. I currently have ATT and Verizon but wanted to use Verizon with my iPhone. I went in to inquire about SIM cards which they have a few phones that use them but one is on GSM and the other CDMA.
