Vodafone Italy has confirmed their Pay As You Go prices.

8GB iPhone (Pay as you go) is €499.
16GB iPhone (Pay as you go) is €569.

On contract, the prices will be less for Italy, comparable to the prices of $199 and $299 contract prices provided with at&t in the USA.

So, does this confirm that pay-as-you-go WILL cause the 3G iPhone to be higher in price?

Yeah, he did say that. The problem is, there's no contract for pay as you go, so it's kind of different. Still, he should have addressed that.

It doesn't affect anyone living in United States or Canada, because we don't have pay as you go. But still, it's less affordable for countries like Italy, unless they go on contract.

Yeah, but like above, we won't have this because we have contract plans only.

Contracts still cost a lot. Expect 2000 dollars in bills for two years.

WOW! A Pay As You Go handset costing more than the subsidized contract equivalent!

    Wait...

    Just in...

    Rain comes from clouds!

Seriously... does everyone on this forum just make a pointless thread every time they figure something out for themselves?

    It's ridiculous.
