I have a question, why is there no 3g modem with built in wifi about the size of a ipod nano, that you could just carry in your pocket providing you with hi speed internet access. You would then have internet anywhere which you can use on your laptop or iphone/touch. I mean a really small item that all it does is receive the signal and broadcast the wifi like 10' but since you have it with you at all times distance is not an issue?

And I don't mean that it connects to a laptop or that it has ethernet ports, just transmits wifi. You would just pay for 3g access and that's it. Why do we have to buy the modem and then a router to broadcast the wifi, why not a simple small device that does it together.
