iOS 4.0 3G after ios4 jailbreak - speed issues?? please help

    Hi guys, iv just jailbroken my iphone 3g on ios4 but it has slowed down so much, is there anything i can do to improve this? also if i re-jailbroke without enabling multitasking will that make a difference?

    suggestions would be great

    From what I've read, multitasking has an impact on speed.
    (only on the 3G / 2G iPod)

    Not enabling it should make it faster.

    By the way, you don't have to restore to do that.
    You can just edit a file to take it off.

    I know that the iPhone 3G doesn't have full support of iOS4 and it has less RAM than newer iDevices, so enabling some things (such as multitasking) will slow your device down. Try using Backgrounder, it's pretty effective at multitasking and didn't slow down my old 2G iPod Touch, but I don't know if it has iOS4 support yet :\

    Keep multitasking, lose wallpapers. Multitasking surprisingly doesn't slow down ****

    if you disable spotlight it should run faster, there was an article on it somewhere around here
