I just got 3ds max 2010 and need to know how to save a file as .stl, .dae, .x3d, .x3db, wrl or x3dv.

basically anything but .max. max is usually fine, but for this specific application max doesnt work for me. I have experience using the program for modeling, but I dont know how to change this. the only available filetypes for me are .max and a variant of .max (cant remember the suffix)

EDIT: I think I found it. Instead of going to file>save, I went to file>export. that seems to work, but I dont know how well it worked for a few days.
