I think your talking about Google earth (called "maps" on the iPod).

No, he's not. berky, I provided the link to the app developer in the other thread(rem, me?). The source is also in there. Do feedback if the app is REAL-time(& accurate).

    You're wrong.

Google Earth and Google Maps are two completely different things.

I want you to show me how the "Maps" application on the iPod Touch performs 3D earth rotation. I'd like to see that.

You seem to feel very strongly on the matter. Google Earth and Maps are not two completely different things. Maps is pretty much the iPod version of Google Maps (and was created by Google/uses Google's technology). And your right in saying it doesn't show an actual Earth globe but it will let you look at all over the world. No not 3D map rotation, but you can look all over the world. I kinda figured that was what the dude wanted because I'm with mombopete and think that looking at a globe of the earth would pretty much be useless. But i guess that's what he wanted...

EDIT: BTW, it was just an idea. I mean i didn't say that it was what he was looking for sure, and it is very similar to what he is asking.

Google earth is 50% completely different from Google maps. Maps just shows you maps. Google earth shows you earth, 3d models and everything else.
