so i was wondering if there is any way to search the ipod touch's file system other than rooting through it folder by folder beceause when i open itunes it claims that there is 350mb of wasted space for other files. i would like to find the file(s)without having to restore the firmware and re jailbreak.

also does itunes save the file for firmware on the itouch when you start the restore process? because i did download the firmware through itunes at one point and dont remember where it saved.

any help or suggestions are appreciated, and i would like to start contributing as soon as i get a bit more experienced as I've only had this i touch 3g for about a week now

    1. I have the same problem too, only it's 250mb. What a waste of space.

    2. Not sure. My friend told me that when you restore, iTunes will show you the firmware file to restore to.

ok ive been looking in to it more and every time i uninstall an app, from cydia or the app store it adds to that "other data" it must be saving packages or somthing to make it easier to reinstall them? im going to look into where they are saved so i can delete them, if anyone has any ideas id love to hear them, and thx for everything so far.

when deleting jailbreak things does it actually go away? The other day I had over 1gb of "other" stuff. I did a wipe and reloaded the same stuff on there and now the other is only 300mb.
