Looking to get my first IPod touch and I'm wondering how much of a difference there is in speed between the 32 and 64? I was leaning toward the 32 but, my wife thinks we should get the 64 and I'm not sure if it's worth the extra 100 bucks. Any suggestions?

Speed between the two devices is identical (same processor), its only the 8GB that differs in speed.

That's what I thought. So the extra 100 bucks wouldn't be worth it then especially since there would be no way we would ever have 14000 songs or 80 hours of video on it.

Yeah, pretty much. If your libary is less than 8GB, you may want to consider getting two 8GB models for you and your wife for an extra $100. Ive used both, and to be honest, unless your going to get deep into gaming, the 32GB doesn't have much else to offer besides capacity. (Voice over isnt very good)

Get the 64gb if you need more memory. Hardware wise, they are the same.
