EDIT: After getting many suggestions..I have come to this conclusion (with the help of many users): This iPod Touch is 3rd generation 3.1.3, I just need a jailbreak for 3.1.3 and then I can save my files.

I did not steal it, or buy it illegally. So gtfo if you're here to accuse me of random sh*t.

    I have an iPod Touch 3d gen with a passcode-which I don't know.

I have very sensitive and important data on my iPod that I need to backup.

    It is not jailbroken.

I am on a fresh install of Windows XP.

I have tried running iFunBox, iPhoneBrowser, DiskAid, WinSCP, none can connect to it. Because of the passcode.

    Any ideas?

-$30 will be given to whoever can successfully backup all my data, using any method. This thread will be copy pasted to other forums so other people can suggest methods. First person to backup my iPod gets $30 via PayPal.

Read my thread before you tell me to SSH. I cannot, because it is not jailbroken, and I have already tried (winscp diskaid etc).

The black print at the bottom needs it to be jailbroken, unfortunately

I could try the 1111, 1112 etc method, but after so many tries it locks up and I have to wait 60 minutes. Eventually it will make me wait 4 years.

I've heard about that, but after I dug around some it turned out to be a myth. Think about it...Why would Apple leave a master passcode to unlock any and all iPod's / iPhone's? That could cause chaos and would defeat the purpose of a passcode in the first place

    .

I don't understand how that will help me, they cannot give me the passcode over the phone, they also can't remotely unlock it for me...

The passcode isn't stored on their servers, so giving them the SN of the iPod wouldn't help.

Not sure if it works, but try Jailbreaking it. If that works you can USB inside and delete the passcode file.

Redsn0w is the only way to do this, but I'm not sure how open the iPod is if theres a passcode.
