No ETA. It will be released with the next jailbreak, and then your ipad will be pwnd4life

It means that no matter what firmware you are on you will always be able to jailbreak, even on future updates. Jailbroken for life

But what happens when apple stops letting our devices sync with iTunes, or use the AppStore? I mean I know it's a long shot but couldn't it happen? Jw

I'm sure they would find ways around it. I just don't see that happening either to be honest.

Agreed. I think the same people finding exploits for jailbreaking will also find a way to hack iTunes so the sync is possible. Besides, Apple would be just stupid if they do that because they would be eliminating over half their target market demographic for their pride

Why bother with 3.2.2 if 4.2 comes out in November (and is already out to devs)?

Cuz waiting till november is a long a time.

Chronic Dev's have other exploits that will probably work on 4.2 (and probably on new bootroms).

Don't forget that the SHAtter Exploit will make the current devices jailbreakable forever. So when they will release it now for 3.2.2 and 4.1, it means we can use the same exploit to jailbreak iOS 4.2 ;-)
