i saw a package in cydia a while back that said it tricked the ipod touch into thinking it was running a different os than it is. I really dont feel like going through the hassle of updating and jailbreaking again and getting all my stuff back. does anyone know how i could trick my ipod into thinking its on 3.2 not 3.1.3?

Yeah, sure it can be done but it causes cydia to sh*t itself and uninstall heaps of stuff

3.2 is for iPads only. Why brother for an iPod?

Because there's an official app I want but it won't let me get it. Because I don't have 3.2

No it's called Parallels Mobile. It's so I can control my PC's desktop from my iPod.

Well i'll tell you how to do it, but it might cause a few cydia issues. SSH in to your ipod and go to system/library/coreservices/systemversion.plist. Open the plist and then change the number 7E18 to 7B367 and change 3.1.3 to 3.2 and then save it. Reboot your ipod and it will be changed. I cant really understand it though cause 3.2 is for ipad. Oh well give it a go.
