What do you guys think of this possible releases tomorrow. A new iBoot exploit called thunderst0rm. It was deemed a fa1lbreak back in Feb or March, but it looks like the "hackers" are pushing for it to come out anyway. Looks like a fa1lbreak to me, but I'd figure I'd share.

Just read this directly from their blog btw.

So even if it is real its a who the hell cares since these devices are already jailbroken on 3.1.3. For iPhone 3gs im assuming non MC model, too.

Where and by who was it deemed a failbreak?
BTW, all I care is that it works at advertised

Ok, but this was lasted on March the 6th. Thats more than 1 month to upgrade and besides, the thread you linked above does not say WHY it is a fa1l, just says
    Doesn't say why.
Besides, its out tomorrow. Then somebody can go and test it out and settle the score.

I'd go for it being fake.
Terrible video quality which doesn't really show anything happening. They also say something along the lines of "as long as everthing works correctly we will release tomorrow...I will put money on this being "delayed" due to "unforeseen problems" of some kind...

Yes but there are certain steps to take when releasing a jailbreak to prove it's functionality. This team has done none of them. Plus, they claim an iBoot level so they have have just copied the devteam's/geohot's jailbreak and created a GUI. This would mean 3GS iPhone's and 3G iPod Touches still wouldn't be jailbroken

    Updated first post of thread.

Thunderst0rm is of no need to anybody even if it is real.

Mods if you could please close this to avoid any confusion from people.

this is a failbreak. thunderst0rm is crap. You should rely on our jailbreak, sn0wflake, which unfortunately encountered problem 2 days before release.
