alright, i have a iPod touch 3G 32GB already jailbroken. So, my friend wanted me to help him jailbreak his iPod touch 3G 8GB.. the problem is that their ipt is currently on 3.1.3 firmware. i just want to know if its safe to jailbreak it / is there any way to jailbreak it if i cant do it on 3.1.3 .. i read the thread about downgrading or something, but that guy was banned so i dont know if i can trust him and i dont feel like reading the whole entire thread.. so is his method trustworthy ?

    You cannot JB 3.1.3.

You can downgrade an 8gb using the 2nd gen firmware file. If you look at the front page you will see the thread to follow.

You can follow Coca Cola's method. It works fine as the 3G 8gig actually uses the 2nd gen firmware. He was banned for discussing piracy.
