Pretty much I got a new computer and installed iTunes. I synced up my iPod (which has 70+ apps) and then upgraded to 3.1.2 because I have been wanting to for a while.

It upgraded/synced and whatever, but now have my apps are gone. I have a backup of ALL the files of my old computer, so can I get the apps back somehow?

I can download the free ones again, but what about my paid apps? When I look at the paid apps in the app store, it still has the price and I do NOT want to pay for them again.

    Thanks in advance.

You can re-download the paid ones onto the same account you bought them with for free, don't worry.

You can download the paid ones at no extra cost.

I just buy them from the in-iPod app store? Even though it still says the price?

I'm not sure about the App Store on the iPod, but in the iTunes store, when you press purchase, it'll give a message saying that you already purchased it and you can download it for free.

You will also need to Authorise your new computer...
Once authorised, you should be able to import all the apps you already have downloaded and backed up (double click should install to iTunes).

Personally the way I do things is to have my entire iTunes library on a seperate Hard Drive. This way, if I get a new computer or have to reinstall the operating system, I just point the 'My Music' folder back to the drive and everything is already in iTunes for me meaning I don't need to resync anything. I also back up this drive to an external meaning if I ever did lose anything I would still have my library set up the way I want it...

Just a thought for going forward...
