    Hey, all

I have an 8GB iPod touch 2G. I use a Jailbroken 3.1.2 firmware, made by PwnageTool. Anyway, when I had the 3.1.1 firmware jailbroken, my memory was at 7.01GB, which was fine for me. Then I updated to 3.1.2 JB, and my overall memory was reduced to 6.93GB. I stuck with it for a while, but since it started bugging the crap out of me, I tried sending it back to regular 3.1.2 and jailbreaking it with Blackra1n. But, I run Mac OSX 10.4, so I couldn't blackra1n. So, I came all the way back to square one.

My question is, is there any way to get the last bit of overall memory back, or will I have to go back to 3.1.1?

It's a custom firmware it comes with more things in it for example Cydia which takes a little bit more of your memory.

The official 3.1.2 gives you bit more memory because it doesn't have cydia, installer etc..
