I bought a 3G iPhone from a friend and it had 3.1.3 installed so I tried to downgrade to 3.1.2 with redsn0w but after it finishes the whole process it restarts over and over again. Any suggestions?

you tried to downgrade with redsn0w? You have to downgrade with itunes and then identify the firmware on your device while using redsn0w.

I think he means he pointed redsn0w at 3.1.2 to jailbreak 3.1.3 which I have done successfully many times. What exactly do you mean it restarts? does the jailbreak finish properly?

Oh, I knew I forgot something. I think I screwed my self over, iTunes won't recognize it now that it just keeps restarting.

    Try using 9.0.
