    I'll make it brief.

64GB MC 3G iPod Touch Jailbroken.

Cydia crashed during startup, so manually deleted source files using SSH.
Still not working, used Blackra1n; endless reboot cycle.

I am running on 3.1.2 and I cannot get back to lockscreen.

I need advice on the few options I have:

    1. Find a solution to get back to lockscreen (somehow end the reboot cycle), then somehow fix Cydia.
    2. Do a full restore, acknowledging that all data will be erased.

I was leaning towards option 2, however, I doubt I saved my ECID correctly on Cydia.

    Any suggestions?

Well, you are on a tethered jailbreak, So I'd try black rain again. If that doesn't work, restore.

Yes, well the problem is when I use Blackra1n, GeoHotz's face stays on the screen for an excessively long time (4 minutes now as of writing). It then boots up and shows the Apple logo, and then it prompts me to restore via iTunes (restore mode).

Furthermore, I get an error message when I try to restore to 3.1.2; I did not register ECID via Cydia.
