I upgraded to to 3.0 and I do not know if it is a firmware problem or hardware problem but my screen is acting weird and will not recognize when i touch it. I was stuck because I could not unlock so i restored my Ipod and now it will recognize my finger to part of the time but not always. Is anyone else having this problem? What should I do? Thanks in advance for any ideas.

what you should, is get someone else finger and test the screen for you. if that person's finger don't work either then there are plenty of things can do

you can restore again to 3.0 and try again
you can downgrade back to 2.2.1 and try again
if it doesn't even work on 2.2.1 then it's a hardware issue.

well I tried other fingers to no success I then restored like 3 times then I jailbroke and it seemed like it was working for a while I am starting to fear the worst. I wonder is anybody else has had this kind of problem. I still am hoping it is software because I have had my ipod for about 8 or nine months now and I have a feeling the warranty is no good. It was working fine before I went to 3.0 though

If you didn't get it wet or drop it (or some other accident related problem), then the iPod is still under warranty and will be replaced. Make sure you restore it first.

I'm sorry then, you've got a hardware problem. Best is to sent it back to 'apple' and have them fix it up with your warrenty.

Nothing worked so I drove the 60 or so miles to the nearest apple store (Man people in Kansas City drive like maniacs) and they looked at it. They took it and are going to be getting a replacement for me but I have to wait for them to get it in and then for them to ship it to me (Which I had to pay for
