Odd problem with my 2G Touch...

Ran 2.2.1 for awhile, used quickpwn to break and all was good.

Purchased 3.0 and ran redsn0w 0.72. Initially diid the Cydia + Icy option which didnt work well, restored and re-broke to Cydia only. While Cydia ran and updated just fine, my "non app store apps" wouldnt install.

Tried the restore and re-break process a few times with .72 and then with .8
Each time the process runs successfully, but i still cant install my "other" apps.
I get the "The application was not installed on the ipod because an unknown error occurred"

Ps. Running a mac if that makes a difference.

    Thanks!

    Pro-tip: Pay for your applications.

I think he's talking about cydia apps not piracy

Yeah, but when does Cydia spit out an error like "The application was not installed on the ipod because an unknown error occurred"? Unless I am terribly, terribly mistaken, in which case I sincerely apologize.

Exactly so things should be going good because it's not hacktivated and cydia apps are free.

Though this isn't always the case, the error he mentioned normally plagues individuals trying to sync cracked applications via iTunes (right?). He said "other" apps, so from past experience with poorly-veiled attempts at cracked app discussion, I assumed he was talking about cracked apps.

Anyway, it makes no sense to continue this speculation.
