    Where is the firmware stored after downloading it from the iTunes Store?

    On windows vista or windows 7 it's in

    C:\Users\Your account\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates

    and you need to un-check hide hidden folders or whatever its called
