I have a first generation iphone.
2 fridays ago i got the purple screen of death and proceeded to update the beta version. The upgrade failed and i had to restore. the restore then failed, and ever since then Itunes wont recognize my iphone when its plugged into the comp.

Im using the new beta version of Itunes
and DFU mode wont work either

    how can i fix this?

i called Apple, they had me on hold for a half hour only to direct me to the developers page on apple. They dont have a phone number and their forums our down.

You have to use the iTunes beta which is compatible with 3.0

He might be one of the people registered under someone else, and might be on a windows machine, so to my believing using XCode won't work for him then, and usually don't people get the PSOD when using XCode now anyway?
