Does anyone one else think that the chrome on the back of the ipods are dumb? Do you think that the 2nd gen ipodtT will be like the back of the iphone?

the chrome is fine, it needs to be more scratch resistant

Invisible Shield FTW... Works great at keeping it scratch free and I can just rub it on my sweatshirt or jeans to remove smudges without worrying about messing it up...

    They can.

I want to get mine colored via Colorware along with my Sidekick 3, but I'm not sure if I should make the leap or not. Very pricey.

I AGREE! the back of all the touch and the back of all the other Ipods I had always scratch like hell! and yes the back of the iPhone is a smart idea, it might not be shiny but it does the job.

I went to buy those invisible shield thing for the touch, and the guy was like "what are you doing?" lol because I was installing the shield at the back of the iPod touch because I know the front screen in scratch resistant, but the back surely AINT!
