i have an ipod 2g and it's currently running on the "untethered" version. i was going to reboot my device due to winterboard and when i tried to turn it back on it wouldn't.

i am very sure it's the untethered the newest version that can turn on and off with out any reeboot. please help.

if all else fails, DFU mode and restore

I am guessing that your are still tethered because rebooting (like to install winterboard) on the tethered version will not allow you to turn your ipod back on without a computer

check to make sure you are using untethered

Try holding both Home and Power for 10 seconds, and if it's still blank, just try to turn it back on like normal.
If it still doesn't respond, DFU+Restore to the Untethered Firmware.
