    Hi Guys.

Im just about to jailbreak an Australian friends original iphone iPhone which he has brought to the UK with him so he can use a UK Sim. It is updated to 3.1.2.

I can Jailbreak easily, but am unsure how to unlock...will BlackSn0w do it?

    Thanks in advance.

    Blackra1n for the jailbreak.

    Blacksn0w will not unlock it.

To unlock it locate and run BootNeuter from Cydia.

So would blacksm0w just do nothing if I ran it?

I jailbroke it fine, no issues there...

Installed cydia, and downloaded bootneuter. This is where the problem starts.

I run BootNeuter, and it does the "determing current settings" bit. This goes on for a minute or so, and then tells me that i need to restore through iTunes. I hit "dismiss", and it caried on "determing current settings".

No Problem, did a DFU restore, re jailbroke and tried again....
The same thing happened again. I hit the home key, and returned to the dashboard. Tried again, and this time it just sits at "determing current settings" undefinitely.

I DFU restored again, and retried, only to get the same results.

Anyone know what the problem is?

    unlock iphone

    hi
There are many sites that provide software to unlock iphone. you can follow simple steps to unlock iphone.First of all you have to install latest firmware if your iphone is not upgraded recently. If you update firmware then you will have to install Cydia or Installer. After installing cydia connect it to PC and do sync in iTunes. You must wait for green coloured V on the screen. You must tick all the four cases appear on the screen because if you do not tick this then your iphone will not unlock. Now follow the instructions on the screen to put the iphone in DFU mode. After sometime the icon starts appearing on the screen then you can connect it to other mobile phone network.

Hi. Im not sure which software you are refering to.

The phone is updated (to 3.1.2) and JailBroken with Blackrain.
I have installed cydia, and downloaded BootNeuter, however bootneuter does not seem to work.
I have DFU retored several times.

Could I use ziPhone for the unlock?

I have no idea what justjulia is referring to and I'd ignore that.

ziPhone won't work on 3.1.2 but you could use Pwnage Tool with 3.1.2. I don't have a 2G anymore to check anything but I know I have heard from others that the Cydia BootNeuter program should work.

You could run blacksn0w; it shouldn't hurt anything and worse case you will have to restore it incase something goes wrong.

Also, sorry for my earlier post; it was late. I didn't mean to sound like an ass and I guess I need to reread things before I post them.

    .

I restored and tried it all other again (with bootneuter), still the same thing...I have no idea what could be causing it, and cant find anything through google except advice to restore.

Unfortunately I only have access to a PC (no Mac), so I dont think Pwnage will work will it?

Any ideas/advice on what to try would be great!

    Thanks again.

You should be able to find the correct firmware that you need online (one that was created via Pwnage Tool).

Get that and restore to it; it will have BootNueter installed assuming the creator of it did it correctly.

So its as easy as that? Just a simple sarch, find a custom 3.1.2 ipsw and shift restore through iTunes?

Thats great! Thanks alot for your help, i'll give it a try later today!
