i've had my 2G for a few months, and at first it worked when i hooked it up to a griffin FM transmitter, and sort of worked (with charging issues) with two different docks that i had for my previous ipod.

now all of a sudden, when i plug anything into the dock port, it will only play through the ipod speakers, not through the dock or car speakers like it's supposed to. do i need a software update? or is there a setting that i messed up?

    ANY help is much appreciated!

    Same!

Mine also does not re-route the sound through the dock. My software is up to date (2.2.1). Could it just be my brand of dock?

    Thanks

Thank you, my dock I only got for christmas this year, but I do not think it is of a very high quality, as it is an ipod dock/digital photo frame, so maybe somewhat of a novelty. I'll just use my old iPod for the dock
