Hey i jailbroke my ipod touch 2g using Cywood's GUI and it worked great but then i downloaded something in cydia (it was either a patch or a repository that froze my ipod. so i had to restore it to 2.2.1 but when i tried to load the customFW.ipsw, i get either a 1601 or 1604 error so i formatted it because i thought maybe it was that file but when i connect it to itunes it has about 100 MB in the other category and i still cant load the custom firmware PLZ HELP!!!

when the ipod freezes you dont' have to REJAILBREAK AND USE THE FIRMWARE, you just have to go into DFU mode, (hold 10 seconds power and home) and when you hear a chime on your computer keep pressing home for 5-10 seconds (untill u hear a beep) without the powerbutton. then cyw00d's guide do everthing like you normally do but SKIP the firmware thing, that's where i messed upi and couldn't get my ipod running untill today and messed up last nite at 5 PM

Try Restoring to 2.2.1 unmodified, then rejailbreaking.

Oh, and knightowl, stop with that graphic

Really? I will explain this to you.

Hit = you click a button
boot = your ipod touch boots up.
