you should always be able to get into DFU mode. It's hardwired into the ipod. Nex time try using iclarifieds tutorial and a timer to help you out.

Dude, I know it sounds crazy but DFU mode isn't working.

I know I used to tell people that it can always go into DFU mode, I have done it 100+ times before, but it's not working!

Try SSHing into it or using a VNC viewer (if you have veency installed) to see if it is working. If it is i'm sure we could take it from there...

(Also, what did you do EXACTLY (List of apps installed, used stuff you did etc.) before it crashed on you?)

If you are not able to get into DFU mode, try with an ac adapter NOT power for PC USB!

If you cant get into DFU this way either you have no timing, or your device is hosed bad. In the case of the latter check your warranty status, then check your headphone jack to make sure the water damage indicator is still white and get a replacement.

although your warranty is dashed the minute you appliny redsn0w, if you are 100% sure you cannot get into DFU mode (which i highly doubt) it is probably so bad that apple will not be able to restore it.
