on ipod touch 2G, when the battery dies, and turns off automatically,

it can still be able to turn on (Apple logo). unlike 1G. On 1G, when ipod dies, after that, it shows an "empty battery" sign and doesn't boot.

I dont know if my ipod has a problem, but it looks like they dont drain compeletely.

    what do you think?

In my experience, if you're not using it and it is nearly out of battery, it shuts off. It does that to my 1G. I'd take it out, find it off, turn it on and the Apple Logo would come on and boot. It pops up with the low battery thing, then after a while finally runs out and after that, when I try powering on, it shows the red low battery image. I have no idea if this is a feature and deliberate, or if this is a bug with our machines.
