I cant get my PS3 Socom headset to connect with my Ipod 2G, or even be detected by it. Just upgraded to OS 3 with hope of using this for bluetooth and it didnt work.
If you don't know what headset it is, its this one: http://www.scramble.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/socom_ps3_bluetooth_headset_3.jpg
If anybody knows how to get it working I would be so thankful.
Either for Skype/VOIP or mono-listening to music.
Thanks! Hope you can help... A LOT.
P.S. What other features are new to OS3? Copy/Paste, the search ipod function, bluetooth... Anything else?
EDIT : Its the Gold Master Final build! Might just be a little useful

Bluetooth headphones for the iPT2G will have to be pre-approved by Apple.
There are many "under the hood" upgrades in 3.0.

Should I email apple or something? Thanks for quick response.
Any specifics on the under the hood stuff?
    Higher clocked proccessing speeds?
What about (I havent looked at it much, its readding my apps right now) something new in calculator, or safari? New aesthetics?
    Thanks again!

Go to Apple.com, search for '3.0'.

The answer is... I have not been able to use the headset/handset profile on any of my bluetooth headsets. It only supports bluetooth devices with A2DP stereo profile for listening to music.

Ok then - anyone know of some lower end compatible headsets?
    Preferably something buyable local.
Local stores in my area are...
Walmart, Target, K mart, Best buy, microcenter, (Toys r us?)...
Well the only ones that would really carry this kind of stuff
Also so does that mean as long as a device is A2DP it should work?

Bestbuy has some Insignia A2DP stereo headsets and speakers for around $40. Target and microcenter carry the Motorola SD9 or SD9-HD.

Well the insignia ones look ok
But those target ones are expensive 0_0
Thanks a lot however - I'm getting into the idea of wanting one of these headsets!
Ok, what about some well known online sites with these cheap?
Thanks a lot again for those suggestions!
