    It did just fine on the 3rd Gen. In fact, even jailbroken, I always had plenty of RAM free. It shouldn't bother anyone.

    Its more than enough, considering the 2G runs every game out right now and it has half the amount of RAM. The concern is with multitasking though...

    It seems it's not underclocked like the iPhone's A4, though, as iFixit mentions that it has the iPad's chipset in it, not the iPhone's A4.

    Not sure if that matters much, if it is true.

    I suppose it's more dissapointing - bigger is better

    The 3rd Gens handled multitasking flawlessly - remember it's not full multitasking, so RAM usage isn't as high as you'd think.
