Okay, first of all, when I use QuickFreedom and try to create a Firmware, it gives me an error. It never even starts making it. But it lets me click next anyway. When I get to the next part, it wants me to go into DFU mode... I've tried doing it like 100 times and CANNOT do it...

    Ipod off and unplugged.

Plug it in and hold home and power for ten seconds.

Release power and hold home for 10 seconds.

    What am I doing wrong?!

you have to have it pluged in and you have to have the firmware bundle o your computer somewhere. i dont think posting the link to the firmwares is w/ the rules so search google for ipod touch firmwares or ipohne firmwares. youll find it somewhere

    My suggestion:
Don't use QuickFreedom, it never worked for me so I just used the manual method which was very easy.

How exactly do you do it manually?

The only problem I had with QuickFreedom was the fact the black in my boot logo background wasn't transparent which gave me an error. But when i corrected it to be transparent it worked well and quickly.

i used unofficialsn0w (the one with IPSW.bat) and i worked perfectly on first try

and a trick for DFU mode is to hold home and power until your iPod disappears from iTunes, then let go of power. Let go of home when it reappears
