2 quick questions

    ok so i went into itunes and saw that there is a new tab called applications. does this mean that i can add apps to my ipod from my computer? meaning i can get apps on my computer, and get them onto my ipod? another question is does this mean i can get apps onto my ipod that apple doesnt want us to have? like customize and summerboard? thanks =P

    1. you can get apps on your ipod from your pc
    2. they MUST be from the appstore
    3. you must be running 2.0 FW
    4. you cannot add apps liek customize or any jailbroken apps...yet

    No you cannot add non App Store apps into the application folder because there are a slew of reasons. First, because Customize and Summerboard are currently only built to run on the 1.1.4 Frameworks and not the 2.0. Second, they most probably wouldn't even sync to your device.

    Though, in the close future one a Jailbreak is released and installer is implemented to Springboard and the developers of Customize and Summerboard re-write their frameworks to work on 2.0 then you could get them working.
