1.) after sending a text, literally after clicking send, if i just set the phone down and do absolutely nothing, the sceen NEVER shuts off. it will literally sit there on the normal screen brightness and never dim.

if i go into a message and act like im about to start typing, but do nothing, it does the same thing.

if i get a reply during this period, it will shut the screen down normally.

2.) after deleting a picture from the camara roll, sometimes, not often, it will lock the camera roll and i cant do anything what so ever unless i shut down. this is only if i try to access it via the app (flower icon).

however, i can go into the camara app, then click on the lower right to access the camara roll and it works normally.

i have to reboot the phone everything to start functioning correctly.

    i am NOT jailbroken
    i am on 4.0.1
    32gb iphone 4

    anyone have same/similar issues?

Looks like that is calling for a restore.

not to disagree, but why would you think it needs a restore?

i've never jailbroken or put on hacked apps. only a few games.

there should be no reasone why i would needc a restore.

Still. 4.0 still has the occasional bug that will be ironed out in a future firmware. I guess if you can wait for 4.1, you could save yourself the restore.

Restore. If that doesn't work take it to the retailer you bought the phone from (AT&T Store,Best Buy,Apple Store) with ur box and accessories you got in the box when you bought the iPhone. Show them the issue and they might replace the phone.
