Hi, my wife and I have a 2nd Gen IPOD but connected to the same computer, it always syncs the same files but if i remove, it removes the files off her IPOD when it re-syncs. Anyway for ITUNES to distinguish 2 seperate libraries?

Turn off the auto sync for the iPod.
You can check the manual select songs box. Then it won't auto sync when you plug the iPod in.

Or what you can do is this:

Make a playlist called "(name's) iPod" and another playlist called "wifes ipod"

When you plug in the ipods, have it only sync the specified playlists and fill the playlists with all your songs.

I think this is what you were asking. not sure.

It would be easier to just not make the iPod sync at all.

It should alow you to seperate what you put on either device. I have 2 3g's and 2 iPod 2g's and it only uts on what I select for each device.

Yeah, you can just select which playlist you want it to sync.

You have 2 3G's and 2 iPods? Wow...

    Beat me to it!

Yes, separate accounts on your computer would allow for 2 different iTunes libraries.

All mine are under the same iTunes account and keep each device seperate. The only thing I noticed is when I buy a new app it wants to put it on every device.
