I am going to buy a laptop, and then download iTunes. I have to use my dad's account, so can I put iTunes in my name, and then just put in his email and credit card number?

As long as it is within your own direct family you can legally sync a single iTunes account with up to five iTunes installations (i.e. five computers). You will need to login with the your father's iTunes account username and password on your laptop and then select 'authorise computer' from the iTunes tool bar. The credit card should already be registered to that account so there is no need to enter the credit card details again.

Make sure your dad knows what you are doing though!
