I am so pissed with apple and mr jobs.
This is by far the worst update yet.
My wifi on 1st gen touch is pretty much toast.
I had a feeling my recent issues were related to the upgrade but were only confirmed by the comments of others.
Wifi takes ages to show connectivity icon and hence, connect. Also, a joined network will sometimes not give the option of forget this network.
I am so mad its not funny.
I liked my touch for the wifi firepower it possessed. Now i'm just pissed...

I have the same thing... It's annoying, but I like the updates it came with, so I'll stick with it.

I have no problems of wifi. You could try restoring or downgrade your ipod.

No, I haven't had any issues. I have a 2g though, so maybe I'm not included in all this conversation.

just do it again, and if that doesnt work downgrade to 2.1 or whatever you were happy with before. i have had few complaints with 2.2 so far, i have a feeling if you do it again it willl be fine.
