I recently received my 2G touch. While playing around I noticed the firmware version is 2.1.1. Not sure when the relevance of this is, just thought I'd share.

The only difference between 2.1 on 1G and 2.1.1 on 2G is the activation of Nike+ support.

it has other important information like how to work the speaker and the new processor and the volume buttons (any new hardware). To activate Nike+ go into settings and flip the switch.

    No, that's all not true.

My iPod 2G does have 2.1 and Nike+-support, so I don't think that's the case.
