2.0 Safari can download and read PDFs

    Safari can read PDFs natively

    EDIT: Sorry, People have reported you can do this in previous firmwares. I was unaware of this but I hope this helps inform others who have also been unaware of this feature.

    Safari can view PDF files natively from the internet.

    Here are some screens (it looks just like viewing a PDF in Mail but it has the safari toolbar and stuff, etc) :

    Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but 1.1.4 can do that as well.

    uhm.. this has been possible since 1.1.1

    unless you mean it actually saves it and you can access it offline, that would be awesome.



    It looks however like that pdf contains at least some rasterized images. Previously safari could only open purely vector based pdf's. That would be cool, jstor here i come
