I dont know whether to get the 2.0 model or 2.4 model? I will use it for gaming like CS:S and COD4 but it will mostly be for school work. what do you think?

i dont think anyone needs the 2.4 since 2.0 is pretty fast i guess 2.4 is for extreme computing but idk

you don't need the 2.4 because the graphics on the 9400 will take load off the processor for almost all the graphics computing. 2.0 is fine for cod4.

is this a macbook or macbook pro?

if its a pro, for the reason above get the 2.0 because the graphics card will take the stress off of the processor,

if its the macbook get the 2.4 because you will need that extra heft for COD4

If you have the money in either case get the 2.4 also, you may wnat to go check the min specs for COD4.

lets see, processor necessary is 2.0, recommended is 2.4

I don't know why Apple offered a slower processor for the same price as the old white one with the 2.4GHz processor. Personally I would get 2.4GHZ but 2.0GHz is ideal for gaming, especially with the new graphics card.

for a second i thought this was about firmwares
and i was like wtf is this guy talking about
    anyways,
2.4 is obviously faster, and is what i am on right now, but
    2.0 is fine
    it will do the job

if you have the money, why not
if not, then 2.0 is fine

I would not use the 2.0 ghz macbook for COD4, here are the minimum specs.

    Minimum Specifications: Recommended Specifications:
OS: Mac OS X 10.5.4 (Leopard)

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo processor

CPU Speed: 2.0 GHz 2.4 GHz

    RAM: 1 GB

Hard Disk Space: 8.0 GB + 1 GB Swap File

    Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7300, 7600, 8600, 8800 NVIDIA GeForce Quadro FX 4500 ATI Radeon X1600, X1900, HD 2400, HD 2600
Video Memory: 128 MB 256 MB

Multiplayer Requirements: Internet (TCP/IP) or LAN (TCP/IP) play supported Internet plays requires broadband connection

Anyway, dosent make sense that a macbook with the minimum specs will be able to handle it well graphics wise, I would still get the 2.4.
