I was thinking ad do you think I am write when I say this forum is based on hacking the ipod touch and iphone. With the release of 2.0 a hole gaped in the community with a lack of activity, sure its fun to "fat out" and play games all day but its time to hack, we got the basics now lets work!

    WEBSITE

www.revolutionizeme.co.nr @MODS: this is strictly to chat about the group and my youtube videos for the group!

    Plans WE have

    • Maybe we could make custom IPA's, I mean simple enough to make one, zip up components and change extension to ipa!

    • Not A Billion Themes On The Localized Installer Repo.

    • App skinning, a way to skin your apps images etc.

    • ...Ideas are appreciated

    • ONE CENTRAL Repository. And one Back up repository.

    • Regulation and Specific Testers. To make sure the Apps are of top Quality and Malware free.

    • No PIracy, laws are good, learn to love them

    • Installer/Cydia should also Install JUST like the App Store. Without needing to Respring. And update JUST Like App Store.

    • uninstall the apps like App Store apps

    • first things we should do are application modding, then the more advanced stuff will come

    • the first thing we need to do is get a jailbreak, kick Steve Jobs in the ass, then laugh at apple, THEN get to modding.

    • We need a trusted Mature source to be the Central Source and Backup Source

    • errrick is already looking to port islsk to 2.0 when its jailbroke

    • And this is why Installer/Cydia/Jailbreak never took off. This is why it Fails so badly.

      1. No one can agree with each other.
      2. No one wants to keep it in one place.
      3. Everything is what one person wants.
      4. There is no funding for the Jailbreak and Apps.
      5. People really expect a magical source to keep everything up.

    • Installer just need some adjustments to work as good as App Store.

    • Most developers are hobbiests willing to develop for free on installer/cydia.

In order for 2.0 Jailbreak Community to be successful is going to take a lot of hard work and commitment.

First of all: No More Jiggy.

Seriously. If you want content filled apps, Objective C is the way to go.

    Can't have Widgets anymore.

There also needs to be Regulation and Specific Testers. To make sure the Apps are of top Quality and Malware free.

There also needs to be ONE CENTRAL Repository. And one Back up repository.

Basically, Follow the Example of the App Store. But Be more Open.

He has some nice points we must implement them to our routine and the 2.0 jailbreak will be a success

Is it possible to take apps that we make and change the file extension to work and sync through iTunes, or haven't anyone tried it. Someone can try that with Installer because it is 2.0 ready but it might not work because it need to have files in certain places which we cant place. Also we could try this with OpenSSH if we got this to work, SSH and place the apps inside.

I like the idea of the one central repository, it'll make things so much easier.

We should also add NO PIRACY to the rules, as heaps of people will probably be like 'Yeah, we should find a way to crack all the apps and put them all onto the repository!!!'

That would be good, once Pwnage is out to we will have SSH and the ability to put in apps on our own terms seeing as most frameworks are alike also we could provably get some 1.1. (1,2,3,4) apps on 2.0 running!
