2.0 is awesome. I don't mean that.

    Yup.

I installed 2.0 onto my phone last night, and promptly lost all my data. I scoured my computer, and apparently iTunes deleted my data backups awesome. This means that I lost dozens upon dozens of phone numbers/addresses/email address. This is especially awesome because I just moved across country two weeks ago and can't easily retrieve that information. Thanks Apple.

So, I went into settings and tried to set my ringtone to my preferred ring tone (The SuperFly theme). Oh imagine my horror when all my ringtones were wiped as well. I again scoured my computer, and again they were nowhere to be found. Excellent, all that money down the drain.

So, I decided to at least check out some of the apps. Maybe I'll have some luck with that. Well, it took me three attempts to sync eight apps. It would not sync them all at once, foe some reason.

While using the apps, I never got the feel of solidity. Sure, they look nice, but they feel flimsy. I got the strong impression that I could easily make any of the applications I downloaded. And sure enough, within the first few minutes of use, four AppStore apps crashed: three from iTunes, one downloaded via AppStore. To be fair, they are AIM, NYTimes, WeatherBug, and GuitarToolkit.

All in all, I am not happy, I am not satisfied.

Oh well, such is life, I suppose.

Are you using vista? Because if you are using vista, you can easily restore an automatic backup of your files.

If you are using leopard you can just use time machine (Which was actually copied from vista believe it or not)
