    Hi,

    I installed 2.0 on my Touch - and yes the purchased upgrade and my Touch became incredibly slow and then blocked (got stuck on the apple logo), it took a lot of playing just to get iTunes to see it again and restore it.

    Has anyone else had similar experiences?

    My Touch was never jailbroken (if that is the term).

    Thanks in advance for any replies.

    I'd recommend a restore.
    If you downloaded the firmware, try another source. If you paid, then just use a regular restore.

    It is a new firmware with the apps and all this, so it hasn't been the fastest, but Apple will address it with an update in the future.

    A restore should clear it up, then go ahead and download the apps once more.
    (Be sure to sync to transfer apps bought on the iPod. If they do not appear, in iTunes go to
    Store-->Check For Purchases-->Transfer Purchases
    This will redownload the apps)

    btw, the term is bricked

    Thanks! I'm following your advice and restoring my "Bricked" (hahaha, I feel a little dumb) iPod Touch. I transfered all my purchases to iTunes.

    If you still have the problem you may want to get another copy of 2.0. I don't think that is it, but you never know....

    Thanks guys!

    I have a MacBook Air so my SSD space is at a premium. I wonder if anyone knows how to remove old iPod backups?
