can i do that with out having to restore?
you will lose all jailbroken attributes, but not the original ipod content.
I'd upgrade to 2.2 instead of 2.1. Newer and more stable.
well my ipod was running slow and had alot of problems so i just decided to restore to 2.1 and then jailbreak. worked out pretty good! Please Register or Log in to view images

ok so i have the 2.0.2 jailbroken firmware, but i want to upgrade to 2.1 jailbroken. but when i try to restore my ipod to 2.1, it says unknown source error??? whats wrong, how do i get to the 2.1 firmware??? and yes i know how to jailbreak from there
just click upgrade.. and upgrade to 2.1 first, better yet 2.2
and if youre using custom firmware then you must be in DFU mode, also its easier to use quickpwn
I was also wondering this...
Just to clarify (I like to be certain), can I upgrade via iTunes (using the shift method) from jailbroken 2.0 to a clean 2.2 without losing my music, videos, pictures, notes, etc.?
i want the jailbroken 2.1 and they don't have a jailbroken 2.2 yet do they??? how would i upgrade to 2.1??? and how do i enter dfu mode i tried that when i restored it and it wouldn,t work. sorry that is alot of questions, i'd appreciate it though.
2.2 jailbreak is available; use QuickPwn.
To enter DFU, power down and then hold home and sleep together for 15 seconds. When the restore image comes up release the buttons.
can you give me the link for quickpwn.
