It's been two days since I jailbroke my 2.0.1 firmware and cydia doesn't work. I've tried jailbreaking multiple times and even downgraded to 2.0 unjailbroke and I still have the problem. Does any one know why cydia doesn't work and more importantly, how to fix it? thanks in advance.

yeah this happened to me i jailbroke mine 3 times on 2.0.1, here your problem:
i am 99% sure you downloaded the rapid-share pwnage 2.0.2, the [PIRACY.rs] mirrors version doesn't instal cydia correctly, you will need to make a new custom firmware via another mirror

You're right, just download it from the official mirror

You guy may be right I did download from Rapid share. I'll give that a try. Also after reading up from official dev team it seems it may be a problem with the unarchiver. I'll also try using osx default archive utility. thanks to everyone.

That or over SSH you can send these commands (without the quotes):
    "su"
(enter your password, "alpine" by default)
    "apt-get remove cydia"
    "apt-get install cydia"

    Then reboot.

Also, here's a working mirror for PwnageTool 2.0.2 (Mac version) that's hosted on my site:

    Happy to help
