I have a 1st generation touch that somehow got wet while I was snow skiing. I took it to apple and they would not warranty it (as expected). I sent it to iPodjuice and it is going to be $300 to fix (not worth it). So, I am having them send it back to me...any cool ideas on what to do with it other than lighting it on fire and blowing it up.

You could try saving it still by putting it in a bowl of rice for a few days.

If its still under warranty, you could try to change the litmus paper (which should have turned pink) located in the headphone port back to white, which is located in the forums as well.

Damage done from water is also a result of the water drying up and causing rust and other junk to form on the unit. There are guides available and tools to open up the iPod Touch. What you can do is open it up and try to clean out any rest or random particles that formed as a result of the water. That way, not only do you save $300, you also get some hands on experience.
